PHOTO 24: my first photography edit

collection nò. 5

a collection about how to see. and. slowly. observing.

like sea water

waves were upturning us

we see a storm from afar

looking for a place to rest

unconsciously closing up

we look with thigh eye

into the restless motion

letting in a destiny

we can not almost resist

now, as there no drops in the sky

as none in our hearts

searching for the light behind the clouds

now, the fields are green

nurturing sunshine

lit the earth shadow from the storm afar

we breath the fresh air of life

photo 24 is my first photography edit and it is a collection of 24 moments taken from the beginning of the year during my third visit in India and along several slow walks in my hometown and across Europe. These prints represent a heartfelt effort to embrace a way of observing slowly as they offer a door into (re)discovering the power of deeply seeing.

One of my sources of inspiration is exploring: here I am captivated by details, reflections, fleeting moments, landscapes, and arts. These elements act as a gateway to a visual horizon. Whether they are 1 or 10'000 km away, it is our perspective on the mystery in front of us that sparkles the moment into curiosity and fascination.

My eyes shall learn to observe not just through the camera lenses but, also through the lenses of my own perceptions and reality: each photograph is essentially an expression of both. They are a futuristic interpretation grounded in the past blending within the frame.

24 images. 24 inspirations. 24 stories. Each one oscillating between urban and rural, natural and crafted. Printing these moments has felt like grounding them, while giving light and color a more tangible form and to my vision a more realistic dimension.

Each print is like a reminder to embrace slowly the moment: to observe it, to flow with it, to immerse ourselves in it, to laugh around it, to listen and to share what holds meaning for us.

I hope, you will take the time to deeply see the beauty hidden behind it.
