8 intentional and mindful practices on how to embrace slow fashion*

Nour Luna intrinsic nature seeks always to cultivate a slower lifestyle. In this journal post I have reflected on 8 mindful practices on how to embrace and introduce slow fashion in your everyday.

I hope these simple actions inspire you to begin creating an intentional and timeless wardrobe!

  • Prefer quality and fully natural materials, like cotton, linen, wools

  • Handle with care, for your wardrobe to last over time

  • Purchase intentionally and seasonal depending on what you need, in favour of secondhand and vintage pieces

  • Choose wisely timeless silhouettes and colours, escaping short lived trends

  • Let an experienced professional repair your overworn or broken pieces

  • Avoid synthetic and mixed fibers in order to facilitate the recycling process

  • Donate or resell consciously only items that can be genuinely reworn (anywhere in the world)

  • Support authentic brands and designs standing for quality and circularity that are aligned with your budget
